Palmer to have surgery on thumb
CINNCINNATI -- Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer said he is scheduled to have surgery to repair ligament damage in his left thumb next week.
The Bengals' season concluded with a 24-14 loss to the New York Jets.
Palmer wore a protective glove on his left hand after injuring the thumb in the fourth quarter of a 17-14 win over Baltimore in October.
