Berry, Chiefs agree to deal

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Eric Berry's tweet was true.

The Kansas City Chiefs confirmed Friday they signed the star safety from Tennessee, about nine hours after he said on his Twitter account that he'd come to terms.

League sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter the deal is for six years and worth a maximum of $60 million, of which $34 million is guaranteed. The deal would make him the highest-paid safety in history.
