Agent: Chiefs extend Derrick Johnson

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Linebacker Derrick Johnson has signed a five-year contract extension with Kansas City that includes a $15 million guarantee.
Johnson's agent, Jeff Nalley, told The Associated Press the deal was signed Monday.
The deal is potentially worth about $34 million. The Chiefs declined comment.
Johnson was a first-round pick out of Texas in 2005, but his career got off to a slow start and he even lost his starting job last year to Demorrio Williams.
