AP Source: Panthers interview Shula for promotion

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A person familiar with the situation says the Carolina Panthers interviewed quarterbacks coach Mike Shula for their vacant offensive coordinator position on Wednesday.

The person spoke to The Associated Press Thursday on condition of anonymity because the team has not released its list of candidates.

The Panthers are looking to replace Rob Chudzinski, who left to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns last week.
