Source: Da'Quan Bowers lines up talks
Any questions about the knee injury suffered by top NFL prospect and Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers should be answered by the April 28 draft.
2011 NFL Draft
Bowers is scheduled to meet with seven of the teams with the top eight picks in the draft, according to a source close to the situation. The source said the meetings will take place after his April 1 pro day at Clemson.
Bowers suffered a meniscus injury to his knee and underwent arthroscopic surgery in January. He didn't work out at the NFL combine in February and delayed his pro day.
Bowers has maintained that his knee will be fine, but there were reports that teams were concerned about the knee and his draft status could be affected. However, the source said Bowers is confident that his visits with the teams will show he is completely healthy.
Bowers led the nation with 15.5 sacks in 2010. He is entering the NFL after his junior season with the Tigers.
