| Scouts' Edge | ||||
Both teams have holes to fill but it appears the Texans are the one moving in the right direction heading into Week 1. Several critical players departed Kansas City during the offseason while Houston has positioned itself well through the draft and offseason acquisitions. Schaub has never been a full-time starter in the NFL and it remains to be seen how well he'll perform under the big lights, and while Huard is in the same board he proved last season that he can lead his team to a string of victories. Just throwing the names out there it would seem Kansas City would be the favorite, but that’s not the case this season. The Texans are primed to make a statement, so look for them to be more mature and get contributions from the newcomers, with third-round wide receiver Jacoby Jones being a possible wild card. |
