Moulds didn't practice all last week but said he feels "a lot better."
Coach Gregg Williams was cautious about Moulds' return. "We would hope that he would be able to get back out there sometime next week," he said.
Moulds, Buffalo's leading receiver, was hurt when he fell awkwardly after making a catch in setting up the Bills' winning drive in a 22-16 win over Cincinnati on Oct. 5.
The Bills sorely missed him last weekend when they managed a mere 193 yards net offense, while backups Bobby Shaw and Josh Reed combined for 100 yards receiving.
Buffalo (3-3) is banged up as it prepares to host Washington (3-3) this Sunday.
Williams said defensive tackle Sam Adams might also be able to resume practicing after he missed Sunday's game with a sprained right ankle.
Adams' backup Ron Edwards also missed Sunday's game with a strained shoulder, and his condition will be monitored before he can resume practicing. Edwards was hurt in practice last Friday.
Offensive tackle Jonas Jennings is anticipated to practice after he strained his hip flexor Sunday.
Backup running back Sammy Morris could also resume practicing after missing three games after surgery to repair a sports hernia.
