DALLAS -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Dexter Coakley will play in the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks, the team announced Monday.

Brooks gave up his spot on the NFC squad because of an illness in his family.

This will be Coakley's third Pro Bowl appearance. He played in the game following the 1999 and 2001 seasons. The seven-year veteran had 110 tackles in 2003.

The game is scheduled for Sunday in Honolulu.
