Shultz was assistant for Bengals last year
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings named Kurtis Shultz as their new strength and conditioning coach on Tuesday.
Shultz, an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Cincinnati Bengals last season, runs a personal training and bodybuilding business in the Baltimore area.
He has served as a personal trainer for All-Pro Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis in addition to four seasons as strength and conditioning coach for the University of Maryland men's basketball team.
Shultz was a forward and team captain for the Terrapins from 1992-95.
Shultz replaces Steve Wetzel, who left to join Dennis Green's staff with the Arizona Cardinals after 12 seasons with the Vikings.
