Seattle Seahawks: Senior vice president Mike Reinfeldt, who joined the Seahawks' front office five seasons ago, has left the organization after turning down a new contract offer, the team said Thursday.
Reinfeldt, 49, was brought to Seattle in January 1999 after the Seahawks hired Mike Holmgren as their general manager and coach.
Reinfeldt oversaw Seattle's player negotiations and the team's salary cap. The Seahawks said they were sorry to see him leave.
"Our search for a new cap administrator will begin immediately," Seahawks president Bob Whitsitt said in a statement. "In the interim, Mike has left our cap in good standing and we have a group of people with a wealth of knowledge and experience in free agency that will be asked to come together and contribute over the next few weeks."

Carter entered the NFL as a free agent in 2001 with Cleveland. After five games with the Browns, he spent three weeks on the New England practice squad in 2002. He played in Europe last year.
In addition to the offers to linebacker Hodge, defensive tackle Smith and safety Gleason, the Saints made a one-year tender offer to exclusive rights free agent linebacker Roger Knight and signed wide receiver Germane Crowell to a one-year contract.
Terms of the offers and Crowell's contract were not disclosed.
