Patriots 30, Seahawks 20

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Corey Dillon broke across the goal line for a TD to put the Patriots up 30-20 with under two minutes left. Dillon. The Patriots got Dillon to do exactly what he did Sunday, rushing for 105 yards and two TDs -- the second one sealing the win.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: It's (going undefeated) going to be difficult to do because of the pressure they'll be under. The coaching staff is doing a fine job staying focused and keeping the team focused on the game that's ahead of them.

UP NEXT: Seahawks (3-2) at Cardinals (1-4) | Patriots (5-0) vs. Jets (5-0)

Jets 22, 49ers 14

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Curtis Martin rushed up the middle for a nine-yard TD to put the Jets up by eight points with under 30 seconds left. Martin. Went over the 100-yard mark for the fourth time in five games, rushing for 111 yards and two TDs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: That (the offense) should be a concern for the Jets because they aren't executing like they believe they should. But I don't think there's a high degree of panic because they are undefeated and RB Curtis Martin is running the ball well.

UP NEXT: Jets (5-0) at Patriots (5-0) | 49ers (1-5) -- bye week

Eagles 30, Panthers 8

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Lito Sheppard picked off a Jake Delhomme pass and returned it 64 yards for a TD to put the Eagles up 23-0 in the third quarter. That was more than enough. Eagles defense. Intercepted Delhomme four times, including two for Sheppard.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: There are a myriad of reasons why this team is suffering from a Super Bowl hangover. One, they've suffered some devastating injuries to WR Steve Smith, RB Stephen Davis and RB DeShaun Foster.

UP NEXT: Panthers (1-4) vs. Chargers (3-3) | Eagles (5-0) at Browns (3-3)

Jaguars 22, Chiefs 16

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Trent Green's hail-mary attempt at the end of the game was intercepted by Jaguars safety Deke Cooper. Byron Leftwich. The second-year QB had a hand on all of Jacksonville's points, passing for two TDs, running for another score, and completing a two-point conversion.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Chiefs had a great win right before the bye and seemed to have momentum coming into the game. Instead they dropped a close one they should've won and needed to win.

UP NEXT: Chiefs (1-4) vs. Falcons (5-1) | Jaguars (4-2) at Colts (4-1)

Falcons 21, Chargers 20

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Michael Vick completed a 24-yard pass to Justin Griffin on 2nd-and-10. The Falcons ran out the clock on the next three plays. Vick. After struggling for much of the game, Vick came up big in the fourth quarter, tossing one TD and running in another.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Too much is being made of Michael Vick's passing numbers right now. The only number that counts is the fact they are 5-1. That's the most important number for the Falcons.

UP NEXT: Chargers (3-3) at Panthers (1-4) | Falcons (5-1) at Chiefs (1-4)

Bills 20, Dolphins 13

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
When Willis McGahee (111 yards on 26 carries) ripped off a 31-yard run on 1st-and-10 in the fourth quarter. The Bills ran out the clock on the next three plays. Takeo Spikes. After telling Buffalo reporters earlier in the week that they would have something good to write about, Spikes responded by returning an INT 11 yards for a TD to help the Bills win.

ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Bills need to settle on one guy and McGahee made a nice case for himself this week. He ran the ball aggressively and used his stiff arm very well. This was a major opportunity for him and he seized it.

UP NEXT: Dolphins (0-6) vs. Rams (3-2) | Bills (1-4) at Ravens (3-2)

Redskins 13, Bears 10

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Sean Taylor picked off a Jonathan Quinn pass with under 30 seconds left in the game. The Redskins took the field and ran out the clock. Clinton Portis. After rushing for just 274 yards in Washington's previous four games (all losses), Portis exploded for 171 on 36 carries.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: They were able to get Clinton Portis clicking by repeatedly giving him the ball. Portis got an amazing amount of carries and it would've been amazing if he hadn't had a big day.

UP NEXT: Redskins (2-4) -- bye week | Bears (1-4) at Bucs

Browns 34, Bengals 17

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Phil Dawson kicked a 33-yard field goal to put the Browns up 34-17 with just under three minutes left. Jeff Garcia. Completed 16 of 23 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns.

ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: I don't think it's a good idea to make the switch (from Carson Palmer to Jon Kitna) now for a couple of reasons. One, it'll be hard to make the change because Coach Lewis was so public about his support of Palmer.

UP NEXT: Browns (3-3) vs. Eagles (5-0) | Bengals (1-4) vs. Broncos (5-1)

Packers 38, Lions 10

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Ahman Green connected with Donald Driver on a 20-yard TD pass to put the Packers up 38-10 at the start of the fourth quarter. Brett Favre. Driver was big (110 yards receiving and two TDs), but Favre came up with a huge game when the Packers absolutely needed it.

ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: I don't see this game as a stepping-stone at all (for the Packers). This is a game they had to win because of Detroit's problems. The Lions had no dominant running game and injuries to their top-two receivers. It would have been more telling if the Packers had lost this game.

UP NEXT: Packers (2-4) vs. Cowboys (2-3) | Lions (3-2) at Giants (4-1)

Texans 20, Titans 10

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Steve McNair was picked off by Marcus Coleman with two minutes left in the game and the Texans ahead 20-10. Texans defense. Picked off McNair four times as the Texans improved to 3-3 for the first time in franchise history.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: QB Steve McNair is a gutty, tough player and a difference-maker for the Titans. But because of his myriad of injuries he sometimes misses practice. In years past the Titans had Jevon Kearse and Eddie George there to keep players in line and lead them into the game. Now they don't and there's a bit of a leadership gap that's hurting the team.

UP NEXT: Texans (3-3) -- bye week | Titans (2-4) at Vikings (3-1)

Broncos 31, Raiders 3

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Reuben Droughns scored on a four-yard run to put the Broncos up 31-3 with just over two minutes left in the third quarter. Droughns. For the second straight game Droughns rushed for over 175 yards, carrying the ball 38 times for 176 yards and one TD.

ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Right now Marques Tuiasosopo is the Raiders' best option and they should make the switch. The team knows what they're getting with current QB Kerry Collins and it isn't good.

UP NEXT:Broncos (5-1) at Bengals (1-4) | Raiders (2-4) vs. Saints (2-4)

Steelers 24, Cowboys 20

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Vinny Testaverde's last-second hail mary fell incomplete in the Steelers end zone. Ben Roethlisberger. Completed 21 of 25 passes for 193 yards and two TDs to win his fourth straight game as a starter.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Steelers are getting it done with their running game. They have two excellent running backs running behind an excellent offensive line. RB Duce Staley is arguably the best free agent acquisition from the past offseason, while Jerome Bettis is excellent in short-yardage and third down situations.

UP NEXT: Steelers (5-1) -- bye week | Cowboys (2-3) at Packers (2-4)

Vikings 38, Saints 31

Recap | Boxscore

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Daunte Culpepper connected with Nate Burleson on an 11-yard completion on third-and-four late in the fourth quarter. The Vikings were essentially able to run out the clock. Culpepper. It's getting to be a broken record, but Culpepper threw for 425 yards and tossed five TD passes (the third time he's done that this year).

UP NEXT: Vikings (4-1) vs. Titans (2-4) | Saints (2-4) at Raiders (2-4)
