Henson got snaps on Thursday
Dallas Cowboys: Quarterback Vinny Testaverde
returned to practice after missing a day because of an
undisclosed illness.
Testaverde was listed as probable on the injury report, meaning the Cowboys still expect him to be the starter Sunday against the Ravens. On Thursday, backup Drew Henson practiced as the first-team quarterback.
With Dallas (3-6) virtually out of playoff contention, questions persist about whether coach Bill Parcells will replace the 41-year-old Testaverde with Henson, a rookie considered the team's quarterback of the future.
Minnesota Vikings: Star receiver Randy Moss completed his first full practice in nearly three weeks.
Moss, who has missed two straight games and hasn't caught a pass since straining his right hamstring Oct. 17 at New Orleans, spent most of Friday's practice with the scout team and remains doubtful for Sunday's game.
Defensive tackle Chris Hovan left the team's practice facility before morning walkthrough after experiencing flu-like symptoms. Middle linebacker E.J. Henderson also missed part of practice with similar symptoms.
Both players are listed as probable for Sunday's game against Detroit.
Undrafted rookie nose tackle Spencer Johnson is expected to start in Hovan's place Sunday, while fifth-round draft pick Rod Davis likely will replace Henderson in certain situations.
Coach Mike Tice declined to speculate on how the illnesses might affect those plans.
Running back Mewelde Moore (ankle) returned to practice Friday but remained questionable. Center Matt Birk (abdomen) remained probable.
Denver Broncos: Safety John Lynch expects to play when
Denver travels to New Orleans on Sunday, his first game since
suffering a stress fracture just above his tailbone three weeks
ago.
"Knowing myself and how I've felt in the past, I feel like I have a good chance to play on Sunday," he said.
Throughout the week the Broncos targeted Friday as the practice to determine his playing status. He apparently passed the test.
"It looked like John took at least half the reps today," coach Mike Shanahan said. "If there is no setback he should be ready to go."
Lynch was injured in an Oct. 31 loss to Atlanta. He hasn't played since.
Green Bay Packers: Darren Sharper is confident there will be
two Sharper brothers starting when his Green Bay Packers play the
Texans in Houston Sunday night.
Younger brother Jamie is a starting middle linebacker with the Texans.
Darren is coming back from a knee injury and practiced Friday for the first time this week. He said he expects to start Sunday night.
"I feel like I'm moving a lot better. I think Coach (Mike Sherman) would attest to that, too," Sharper said.
He is listed on the injury report as probable for the nationally televised game.
A week earlier, Sharper was listed as questionable for the game against Minnesota. He didn't start and was limited to playing as an extra defensive back on passing downs in last Sunday's 34-31 win over the Vikings.
His last start was Oct. 24, in a victory over Dallas.
Sherman said he planned to wait until Saturday to make a decision about the extent of Sharper's role in Sunday night's game.
Buffalo Bills: Receiver Josh Reed and cornerback Troy Vincent will miss Sunday's game against the Rams.
Reed missed the last two games after injuring his left knee early in Buffalo's win over Arizona on Oct. 31. Vincent hasn't played since having arthroscopic knee surgery after getting hurt against New England on Oct. 3.
Backup safety Coy Wire is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with an abdominal injury.
New York Giants: Center Shaun O'Hara
and safety Gibril Wilson missed their third straight day of
practice, but coach Tom Coughlin did not rule them out for
Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
O'Hara, who returned to the lineup last week after missing two games with a leg infection, has an ankle injury.
"He played the whole game with the darn thing, so, as he said it to me, 'Maybe I can get it under control and be able to play,'" Coughlin said.
Wayne Lucier would start if O'Hara can't.
Wilson, a rookie who has been outstanding since taking over from the injured Shaun Williams, injured a shoulder last Sunday in the game against the Cardinals in Arizona.
