Seahawks release Bannister, McIntyre, Urban
KIRKLAND, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks released former Pro Bowl wide receiver Alex Bannister, as well as defensive tackle Garrett McIntyre and wide receiver Jerheme Urban, the team said Friday.
Bannister was a fifth-round draft choice in 2001 and played in 57 games with four starts. He had nine career receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown, and was named to the Pro Bowl on special teams after the 2003 season.
Urban signed with Seattle as a free agent in 2003. He played in 10 games with two starts and had 13 catches for 268 yards and a touchdown.
McIntyre signed on May 1 as an undrafted rookie free agent.
