ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills linebacker Takeo Spikes was inactive for Buffalo's game against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Spikes, the Bills starting strong side linebacker, will miss his second straight game with a right hamstring injury. Rookie sixth-round pick Keith Ellison will start at weak side linebacker, with veteran Angelo Crowell moving to the strong side.

A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Spikes missed Buffalo's 16-6 win at Miami last weekend, and has been out since getting hurt in the first quarter of a 19-17 season-opening loss at New England on Sept. 10. The ailment has curtailed his comeback from a torn right Achilles sustained last season in Week 3.

Safety Matt Bowen will miss his third consecutive game because of a lower right leg injury sustained in Buffalo's first preseason game on Aug. 12 against Carolina.

Meanwhile, Jets running back Derrick Blaylock, guard Pete Kendall and center Trey Teague were all inactive.
