Eagles Focus Won't Be on Owens
We asked some of our experts what kind of reception they think Terrell Owens will get when he returns to Philadelphia this weekend.

Philly is a city that will give a tremendous outpouring of love to a player no matter what he's like as long as he busts his butt on the field. They want a guy who is hard-nosed and wants to win and they thought they had that when Terrell Owens joined the Eagles. Sure he's a flashy player who loves to celebrate, but they know that he works hard to get out on the field every week and leaves it all on the field. These are the most difficult fans in the game, but he had them in the palm of his hand. Heck, as an alumnus of the Eagles organization I was proud of him and glad to see him successful in Philly.
Then, just as quickly as he ascended to the top of the pedestal in the fans' hearts he descended because of his actions. The city turned on him quickly and they are waiting for his return on Sunday. There will be electricity in the stadium as they will dress in ornate costumes, have great signs and boo as loud as they can once he hits the field. The stadium will erupt the first time Owens takes a big hit. |

The Eagles are proving every week that they aren't missing T.O. with the way they are playing, so I think the team should encourage the fans to not boo him when he comes on the field. Booing him will only fuel his massive ego, and the way to bruise an ego like his is with indifference. There's nothing that will upset him more than not being paid attention to when he hits the field. That will show him way more than booing him will.

It's going to be crazy on Sunday when T.O. comes back to play for the first time. Let me assure you it's not going to be the City of Brotherly Love when he comes into the stadium. It's going to be the city that J.D. Drew saw when he came back and that the drunk Santa Claus saw when he showed up in the stadium. This place is ready to boo and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a public burning of his jerseys outside of the stadium. This city is never going to forgive him for the way he left because it was a slap in the face to not only the organization, but to the fans who'd given their hearts to him.
