Vinatieri, Sanders inactive for Colts against Titans
INDIANAPOLIS -- Kicker Adam Vinatieri and Pro Bowl safety Bob Sanders were among seven Indianapolis Colts placed on the inactive list for Sunday's game against Tennessee.
Sanders, who had arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee, missed his third straight game.
Vinatieri, considered the NFL's best clutch kicker, also missed his third consecutive game with a right groin injury. The Colts hoped Vinatieri could play this week, but signed kicker Martin Gramatica in case Vinatieri had to sit.
Tennessee deactivated running back Chris Brown even though he is healthy. Travis Henry, who was inactive for the Titans last week, was expected to replace Brown in the starting lineup. Also out for the Titans were starting left guard Zach Piller (ankle), wide receiver David Givens (thumb) and tight end Erron Kinney (knee).knee
