Shortly after Ricky Williams raised at least the possibility that he might return to play football in Canada, his agent squashed it.

Williams is contractually bound to return to the Miami Dolphins next season, according to his agent, Leigh Steinberg.

On Tuesday, Williams was quoted in USA Today as saying he liked playing in the CFL.

"If I came back here, you can put me anywhere," Williams said after his Toronto Argonauts beat Winnipeg 31-27 in the CFL playoffs. "Up here, I can play offense, defense, special teams. I can do everything. I can block, play tight end, running back, receiver -- even play the line. The NFL is so structured -- 'You do this.' Here I can do so much."

Williams, who is suspended from the NFL, would have to apply for reinstatement before rejoining Miami. On Sunday, he sounded as if he was at least considering staying to play in Canada.

"Well, actually, I'll have to talk with my family and [Dolphins] coach [Nick] Saban to really see what the best decision is for me," he said. "As of right now, it doesn't exist. Nothing does, except today."
