HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Running back Cedric Houston was questionable for the New York Jets' game at Miami on Monday night with a calf injury.

Houston, who has become the Jets' primary ballcarrier in recent weeks, hurt his calf in New York's 26-13 win at Minnesota on Sunday. He didn't fully participate in practice either Wednesday or Thursday.

"Cedric didn't do anything [Wednesday]," coach Eric Mangini said. "We had him rehabbing, so we're going to look at it and just see where it is."

Houston has led the Jets in rushing the last three weeks, gaining 208 yards and three touchdowns in that span. He had 53 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings last week, 50 yards on 18 rushes against Buffalo the previous week, and a career-high 105 yards and two TDs three weeks ago at Green Bay.

With Houston's emergence, veteran Kevan Barlow has been inactive the past three weeks as Mangini pared down his running back rotation, which includes rookie Leon Washington, to two ballcarriers. Barlow, whose tough, bulldozing style is similar to Houston's, could be activated if the second-year back is unable to go against the Dolphins.
