Panthers' Delhomme inactive for third straight week

ATLANTA -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme
missed his third straight game with an injured thumb Sunday against

Delhomme, downgraded to doubtful late in the week, hasn't played
or practiced since sustaining ligament damage in his right thumb in
a loss to Philadelphia on Dec. 4, and was inactive against the

Chris Weinke made his third straight start for Carolina.

As expected, quarterback Michael Vick was active for the
Falcons. Vick had been listed as questionable early in the week
with a groin injury.

Falcons cornerback Jason Webster was inactive for the seventh
straight week with a groin injury. Defensive end John Abraham was
in uniform and had a cast on his left hand after having surgery
Monday for a thumb injury.

Joining Delhomme on the inactive list for Carolina was backup
receiver Drew Carter (ankle), who was downgraded to doubtful after
missing Friday's workout.
