Packers acquire four defensive players, punter

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers signed five free
agents, including four defensive players, on Monday.

The team signed linebackers Tim Goodwell and Marcus Randall,
cornerback Antonio Malone, defensive tackle Devarick Scandrett and
punter David Lonie.

Goodwell, a 6-foot, 237-pound player from Memphis, was
originally signed as a non-drafted free agent last spring. He spent
part of the regular season on the Packers' practice squad.

The 6-foot-1, 232-pound Randall was out of football last year
after being released by the Tennessee Titans following the 2006
preseason. Randall was a starting QB at LSU, then played safety as
a Titans rookie before switching to linebacker last year.

Lonie, a former Cal player and native of Sydney, Australia, was
released by Washington after the 2006 training camp.
