Former Cowboys QB Wilson interviews for Dallas job

DALLAS -- The Cowboys' family reunion continued Wednesday when Chicago Bears quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson showed up at Valley Ranch for an interview.

Wilson, who has played (1995-97) and coached (2000-02) for the Cowboys, also has the one qualification that owner/general manager Jerry Jones seems to value more than ever: He was born in Texas.

Wilson became quarterbacks coach in Dallas at the end of Troy Aikman's career and dealt with the ugly aftermath.

In 2004, Wilson took the same position with Chicago, where Rex Grossman, Jonathan Quinn, Craig Krenzel and former Cowboy Chad Hutchinson all made at least three starts that season.

If Wilson's hired, he'll help offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, another former Cowboys quarterback, oversee the development of Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo.
