Louisiana prosecutors drop case against Brown
COVINGTON, La. -- Prosecutors have dropped their case against New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Jammal Brown, who was charged with domestic abuse in June after his wife dialed 911 and told police that her husband had struck her.

During a brief hearing Tuesday morning, a prosecutor told State District Judge Martin Coady that the state decided not to prosecute the charge due to the judge's recent ruling that prevented the use of key evidence at trial.
Megan Brown, who is separated from her husband and living in California, has refused to testify.
After the hearing, Brown said he was glad the case was over. He said he planned to focus on football, rehabilitate his knee after arthroscopic surgery and "think about getting in the Super Bowl next year.
"It's unfortunate that the judicial system had to get involved to resolve a misunderstanding," Brown said.
