Raiders sign former Panthers safety to one-year deal
The Raiders, seeking depth in the defensive backfield, reached a one-year deal with Panthers safety Colin Branch.
The fifth-year safety from Stanford had been talking to the Raiders the past couple of months without a deal. He agreed to a one-year deal for the NFL mimimum of $595,000. He may have received a signing bonus in the deal.
The 27-year-old Branch was a fourth-round choice of the Panthers in 2003.
