Backup Selvin Young practiced on a limited basis Friday because of a strained right knee and will be a game-time decision. He's listed as questionable for the contest.
Henry, who partially tore the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee against Detroit on Nov. 4, is also battling the flu.
"He's got the flu, he's got the knee, it's not looking good," Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said Friday after practice. "Other than that, he's doing fine."
While Shanahan ruled Henry out for the Bears game, he thought he would be ready to play next week at Oakland.
However, Henry is fighting to keep the NFL from suspending him over the results of a drug test. He had a hearing with the league a week ago in Phoenix and could hear back on a verdict any day.
If he's unsuccessful, Henry faces a yearlong suspension.
Young has rushed for 385 yards this season, which ranks third among rookies. He banged up his knee in the second half of Denver's 34-20 win over Tennessee on Monday night and only briefly returned.
If Young and Henry can't play, the Broncos may turn to Andre Hall. The first-year South Florida product rushed for 89 yards on Monday night against the Titans. He also had a 62-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Broncos receiver Javon Walker had a little swelling in his surgically repaired right knee following practice Thursday, but Shanahan expected him to play Sunday. Walker has missed eight straight games because of the injury. He has caught 19 passes for 230 yards this season.
"Unless there's any setback there, he should be able to play," Shanahan said.
Asked if was playing Sunday against the Bears, Walker simply answered, "Yeah."
Walker is listed as questionable for the game, along with fullback Paul Smith, who's battling a calf injury.
