Heart surgery sidelines ESPN NFL writer Pasquarelli
ESPN senior NFL writer Len Pasquarelli remains in a Phoenix-area hospital, two days after undergoing heart surgery.
Pasquarelli was in Phoenix to cover the Super Bowl. He is expected to remain hospitalized for at least another week.
Pasquarelli is a voter for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and attended that meeting Saturday. He then wrote a column on the selections for ESPN.com.
He went to the hospital later Saturday evening, where he underwent surgery on Sunday.
Pasquarelli joined ESPN.com to cover the NFL in 2001. Prior to that, he covered the league for CBS Sportsline.com, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and Pro Football Weekly.
He is a past president of the Pro Football Writers Association of America.
Anyone wanting to send get-well wishes to Pasquarelli can do so through this mailbag.
