Falcons' Smith won't comment on Hall's status for '08 season
Falcons coach Mike Smith reacted Saturday morning to DeAngelo Hall's statements that his chances of playing with the Falcons again are "slim to none."
"I heard the comment and I'm sorry DeAngelo feels that way," Smith said. "I think he's an outstanding player, but we do not make comments on specific roster moves."
The Falcons are listening to trade offers on Hall, who is in the final year of his contract. The Redskins and Giants are two of several teams believed to be interested in a possible trade. Hall, who was at the NFL combine in Indianapolis on Friday, said he doesn't want to stay in Atlanta and he wants to go to a team that wants him. Hall said he hasn't asked to be traded, but he has heard the team is trying to trade him and he doesn't want to go back.
