Ryan's agent, Gil Scott, confirmed the agreement.
The Seahawks are expected to release punter Ryan Plackemeier, who struggled against the Bills after missing much of training camp while recovering from pectoral surgery. The team has yet to make an announcement. The Bills' Roscoe Parrish returned one of Plackemeier's 11 punts for a touchdown. Plackemeier sent another punt 22 yards and out of bounds in Seattle territory. Ryan, 26, spent the last two seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He averaged 44.5 yards per punt with a 37-yard net average during two seasons in Green Bay. The Packers released him before this season, keeping Derrick Frost instead.
