Jets linebacker Harris to miss Bills game with injured groin

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Jets linebacker David Harris will not play in New York's game at Buffalo on Sunday because of a strained groin.

Harris, who leads the Jets with 52 tackles, didn't make the trip with the team to Buffalo on Saturday. He was listed Friday as doubtful after not practicing all week. Harris, in his second NFL season, was injured in the second quarter of the Jets' 28-24 victory over Kansas City last Sunday.

The Jets also activated linebacker Jason Trusnik from the physically unable to perform list, and waived defensive lineman Kareem Brown.

Trusnik played in six games last season as a rookie and recorded six special teams tackles before injuring a foot. He was placed on injured reserve before the season finale and started training camp on the PUP list while recovering from the injury.

Brown, inactive for the first seven games of the season, played in one game for the Jets last year after he was claimed off waivers from New England.
