After being cut by the New England Patriots at the end of training camp, Bryant signed with the Steelers on Nov. 11 and appeared in two games. By signing now and having a chance to spend training camp with the Steelers, Bryant will able to compete for playing time in 2009.
The 31-year-old Bryant has made 109 career starts. He was a first-round draft choice of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999 and spent five seasons there with Jacksonville. He also was a four-year starter with the Detroit Lions.
