HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans have signed free agent linebacker Buster Davis and re-signed tackle Rashad Butler.

ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky writes about all things AFC South in his division blog.
The moves announced Tuesday give Houston five free agents it signed from other teams and six of its own.
Davis played in six games and started three for Indianapolis last year, finishing with 26 tackles. The Florida State product was drafted by Arizona in 2007 and spent part of his rookie season on Detroit's practice squad.
The 6-foot-4, 309-pound Butler was claimed off waivers by the Texans two years ago and played in eight games over two seasons.

Free agency started with a bang when defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth signed a seven-year deal with Washington and the Redskins re-signed their own free agent, cornerback DeAngelo Hall.
