Packers, Matthews agree to 5-year deal

The Green Bay Packers reached an agreement with one of their two first-round draft choices Thursday when linebacker Clay Matthews came to terms on a five-year deal.

The contract can max out at $13.275 million, according to a source. His agreement leaves defensive lineman B.J. Raji as the only unsigned Packer.

Matthews was the 26th pick of the first round coming out of Southern California and is the eighth first-rounder to come to terms with his team.

The Packers report to camp on Friday.
