Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu practiced Thursday for the second consecutive day in his efforts to return from a medial collateral ligament tear in his left knee.
Polamalu was limited in practice and could still be a gametime decision on whether he will play against the Detroit Lions.
Running back Willie Parker sat out his second consecutive day of practice Thursday because of a toe injury and appears to be heading toward resting a second consecutive week. Rashard Mendenhall took the first-team snaps with the Steelers' offense Thursday.
