NEW ORLEANS -- Drew Brees threw his 100th touchdown pass for the New Orleans Saints during the first half of Sunday's game against the New York Giants, reaching the mark in only his 53rd regular-season game with the club.

Brees threw scoring passes of 1 yard to Jeremy Shockey, 36 yards to Robert Meachem and 12 yards to Lance Moore during the Saints' first four offensive series. The third scoring strike, which was the Saints' fourth TD of the game, put Brees at 100.

The Saints signed Brees as a free agent in 2006 after the San Diego Chargers let him go. Only Aaron Brooks (120) and Archie Manning (115) had more touchdown passes as Saints.
