Source: Roseman is Eagles' next GM
The Philadelphia Eagles will promote Howie Roseman to general manager to succeed the departing Tom Heckert, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The position is becoming vacant as the Cleveland Browns are expected to announce as early as Monday that they have hired Heckert as their general manager, league sources told ESPN.
Browns president Mike Holmgren interviewed Heckert, who has been a GM since January 2006 with the Eagles, on Wednesday.
Roseman is currently a vice president of player personnel with the Eagles.
