Source: Jags WR Williamson re-signs
Jaguars wide receiver Troy Williamson has re-signed with Jacksonville for another year, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Williamson, who would have been a restricted free agent, decided against hitting the market and put pen to paper with the Jags on Friday.
Williamson, a former first-round bust with the Vikings, had 3 receptions for 34 yards during the 2009 season. He tore his shoulder labrum making a catch during Jacksonville's Week 2 loss to Arizona and was shelved for the season.
He had been the team's biggest surprise during the preseason, catching 12 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, and earning a starting spot opposite Torry Holt. But he marked his lowest reception total for a season since beginning his NFL career with the Vikings in 2005.
Information from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter and The Associated Press was used in this report.
