Ware returns to Cardinals on 1-year deal

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed free-agent safety Matt Ware to a one-year contract.

Terms of the deal were not released Tuesday.
Ware had 27 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Cardinals last season. He was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on Dec. 16.
Ware has played in 53 games over four seasons for Arizona. He played his first two seasons with Philadelphia, was waived by the Eagles in September 2006 and claimed by the Cardinals.
