Source: Bennett accepts one-year deal

The Oakland Raiders added depth to their backfield by signing halfback Michael Bennett, the team announced on its website.

Bennett, formerly with the San Diego Chargers, accepted a one-year deal, according to a source. The 31-year-old Bennett will be joining his sixth team.

A former first-round draft pick, Bennett has 3,692 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns during his NFL career. He had 1,296 yards in his second season in 2002 when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
