Kenny Britt excused from practice
Fisher said he thought Britt was in the wrong place at the wrong time and that he is still gathering information. Fisher said he expects to have gathered the necessary facts by Sunday and wouldn't rule out the possibility that Britt could sit out when the Titans (4-2) host the Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) if Fisher's findings lead to a different conclusion about his involvement.
WSMV-TV reported Britt was involved in a fight at Nashville Club Karma at 1:45 a.m. Friday. No charges have been filed but Harold Pointer -- who alleges Britt beat him up, leaving him with a cut that required four stitches -- told The Tennessean he is looking for a lawyer to help him pursue that course of action.
"He was in the fight," Pointer said. "I can almost understand if he had a problem to send someone else over to do it and him act like he had nothing to with it. But he was full-fledged in a fight. He was swinging, he was punching."
Britt has started two straight games. The Titans' first-round draft pick in 2009 has caught four touchdown passes this season.
