Thomas was hurt Monday night on a seemingly innocent ankle tackle by Chargers cornerback Antoine Cason after Thomas made a catch for no gain during the Broncos' opening drive of the second half.
The Broncos later announced Williams had a concussion, but didn't say when the injury had occurred. He was Denver's leading tackler entering the game, making 59 tackles along with 3½ sacks. He had four tackles and one assist before his injury.
Thomas had three catches for 17 yards against the Chargers, giving him 22 receptions for 283 yards and two touchdowns this season.
