Marcus Trufant suffers leg injury
SEATTLE -- The Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant left Sunday's game against Kansas City with a leg injury suffered in the first quarter of Seattle's 42-24 loss, but returned late in the second quarter.
Trufant was hurt on a 2-yard run by Thomas Jones late in the first quarter.
He initially rolled around holding his left leg and was tended to by trainers before a cart was brought on the field to take him to the locker room.
The Seahawks did not announce which leg or the specifics of Trufant's injury, but initially said he was out for the game.
With 3:50 left in the half and after going through tests on the sideline, Trufant returned to the game.
Trufant started on Sunday despite suffering a concussion last week against New Orleans.
Trufant joined a growing list of injured Seahawks. Seattle is without leading receiver Mike Williams against Kansas City, sidelined by a foot strain.
Williams went through a workout about two hours before kickoff Sunday. But when inactives were announced 30 minutes later, Williams was on the list. He leads Seattle with 52 receptions, but was hurt late in last week's loss at New Orleans. Deon Butler started in Williams' place.
Seattle is also without fullback Michael Robinson, who was questionable with a hamstring injury.
Kansas City is without starting cornerback Brandon Flowers and receiver Dexter McCluster. Flowers was doubtful with a hamstring injury, while McCluster was questionable with an ankle injury. Starting free safety Jon McGraw is also inactive with a head injury.
