Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Williams, who was arrested in mid-November on suspicion of driving under the influence, will not face charges after his urinalysis came back negative, the county state attorney's office said Friday.

"We just got the results back from the urinalysis and that was all clean, so [we made the decision] based on him blowing below the legal limit," Hillsborough County state attorney's office spokesman Mark Cox said, according to the Tampa Tribune. "There is also a video at the scene when he got arrested, and when we looked at it in totality, based on the blow and the road-side camera, then the results we got back showing there was nothing else in his system, we felt like we couldn't go forward."

Buccaneers spokesman Jonathan Grella said in a text message to the Tribune: "We're pleased by this news and are happy for Mike, who is already focused on an exciting 2011 season."

Sheriff's deputies stopped Williams, 23, in the early morning hours of Nov. 19, in Tampa, saying they witnessed him speeding and weaving through traffic. They also noted his eyes were glassy and he smelled of alcohol, according to a police report.

However, his blood-alcohol level, tested at the jail, were .065 and .061 in two different tests, according to a police report, below the state limit of .08.

Williams, a rookie who was picked in the fourth round out of Syracuse, also submitted to a urine test.

The Buccaneers had Williams conduct his own independent urinalysis, in addition to the one the police did, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported. The team did this because they wanted the results back as soon as possible. Williams' independent urinalysis came back shortly after the incident and it showed no measure of any illegal substances, according to team general manager Mark Dominik.

The team fined him an undisclosed amount, but he was allowed to play in that weekend's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Williams finished the season with 11 touchdowns, tied for fourth in the league among all receivers. He tied for 19th in yardage (964 yards), on 65 receptions.
