The Green Bay Packers will hold a private ceremony June 16 to give players their Super Bowl rings, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The event will be held in the Atrium at Lambeau Field and will be limited to members of the team only.
The precedence for the team-only ceremony has been set -- the team held the same event after the Packers' last Super Bowl win in 1996. The details of the rings are also being kept secret -- even from the players -- as per team tradition.
Contact between players and coaches has not been permitted during the lockout, but the league made an exception for the Packers' ring ceremony.
