Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall has been interviewed by prosecutors regarding an April incident in which the two-time Pro Bowler was stabbed by his wife, media in South Florida have reported, citing the state attorney's office.
Marshall, who came in under force of a subpoena and spoke with attorneys June 20, hadn't discussed the stabbing with authorities since April 22, when he told police he had fallen on a broken glass vase. He has since recovered.
His wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, told Broward County Sheriff's officers she had stabbed him in self-defense. She was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Nogami-Marshall was arrested again June 10 after deputies responded to a 911 hang-up at the couple's home that morning.
The 27-year-old told deputies she had been living there while Marshall was out of town, despite a protection order requiring her to stay at least 500 feet from the home. When Marshall returned, an argument occurred, followed by the 911 call.
Deputies charged Nogami-Marshall with violating her pretrial release.
