IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Willie McGinest stuffed Edgerrin James on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line with 14 seconds left in the game. The Patriots took over and ran out the clock. Bethel Johnson. The rookie had a huge day returning kickoffs. He had a 92-yard return for a touchdown as time expired in the first half and a 67-yard return in the 4th that set up the Pats winning touchdown.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: What a great football game! Two great QBs with different styles leading their teams downfield is what football is all about. Patriots QB Tom Brady doesn't get enough credit and with the way he's winning he looks like the new Brett Favre.
UP NEXT: Patriots (10-2) vs. Dolphins (8-4) | Colts (9-3) at Titans (9-2)

Rams 48, Vikings 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Aeneas Williams returned a Daunte Culpepper fumble 90 yards to put the Rams up 41-17 in the fourth quarter. Marshall Faulk. Rushed for 109 yards and scored three TDs, lifting his career total 127 and passing Walter Payton and Jim Brown for fifth on the career TD list.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: When Marshall Faulk plays like this, he's unstoppable. The Rams are up there with the Eagles in terms of elite NFC teams. It must be great for the Rams to see that Faulk can still take over a football game.
UP NEXT: Vikings (7-5) vs. (8-4)Seahawks | Rams (9-3) at Browns (4-8)

Bills 24, Giants 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Travis Henry scored on a 13-yard run to put the Bills up 24-7 in the third quarter. The Giants, who did nothing on offense, weren't going to come back from 17 down. Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe, who hadn't thrown a touchdown pass since Oct. 19, completed 19 of 29 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: This win should give the Bills coaching staff a brief respite from criticism. Meanwhile, the Giants looked very flat as if they had nothing to play for. They're simply going through the motions.
UP NEXT: Bills (5-7) vs. Jets (4-7) | Giants (4-8) vs. Redskins (4-8)

Bengals 24, Steelers 20
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Jon Kitna connected with Matt Schobel on an 18-yard touchdown pass with just 13 seconds left. The Steelers got the ball back, but never got past their own 20. Kitna. Threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns and led the Bengals 52 yards in under one minute for the game-winning score.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Bengals have proven that hard work pays off. They are playing very well defensively and are becoming reminiscent of the Ravens' Super Bowl championship defense. This team flies to the ball and gang tackles ferociously. They've made great strides and are in a dogfight with the Ravens for the division.
UP NEXT: Bengals (7-5) at Ravens (7-5) | Steelers (4-8) vs. Raiders (3-9)

Eagles 25, Panthers 16
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Donovan McNabb connected on a 29-yard pass to Chad Lewis on third-and-nine with under three minutes left. David Akers. On a day when the offense struggled some, Akers booted four field goals. His long was a 48-yarder.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: With their seventh consecutive victory, the Eagles look to be the team to beat in the NFC. Donovan McNabb looks to be 100 percent and he's playing great football.
UP NEXT: Eagles (9-3) vs. Cowboys (8-4) | Panthers (8-4) at Falcons (2-10)

Ravens 44, 49ers 6
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Terry Jones scored on a 6-yard pass from Anthony Wright to put the Ravens up 34-6 at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Lewis. The Pro Bowl MLB was a monster, recording 18 tackles and returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown as the Ravens routed the 49ers.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: All of a sudden the Ravens are an offensive juggernaut with a third-string quarterback. Brian Billick seems to have found a QB in Anthony Wright who he can be aggressive with in his offensive play calling. And the results of that aggression are back-to-back 44-point football games.
UP NEXT: 49ers (5-7) vs. Cardinals (3-9) | Ravens (7-5) vs. Bengals (7-5)

Texans 17, Falcons 13
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
The Falcons failed to convert a successful onside kick with under 1:30 left in the game. The Texans took over and ran out the clock. Domanick Davis. The rookie had his fourth 100-yard rushing game (101 yards) of the season and scored two touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Texans are marching to the same coaching beat as the Bengals and the Chiefs. They are a disciplined and dedicated team. Right now they don't have the talent level of other teams, but if they're able to continue playing as hard as they play they'll be a pleasant surprise after a few offseason acquisitions.
UP NEXT: Falcons (2-1) vs. Panthers (8-4) | Texans (5-7) at Jaguars

Bears 28, Cardinals 3
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Kordell Stewart scored on an 8-yard run to put the Bears up 21-7 in the fourth quarter. Brock Forsey. Making just his second start, the rookie rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: What an unbelievable surprise that the Bears are just two games behind the Vikings and one behind the Packers! They seem to have turned a corner after defeating the Raiders a few weeks ago. This is a very positive situation for the Bears coaching staff.
UP NEXT: Cardinals (3-9) at 49ers (5-7) | Bears (5-7) at Packers (6-6)

Saints 24, Redskins 20
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Tim Hasselbeck's pass on fourth-and-10 with under two minutes left fell incomplete. Deuce McAllister. Rushed for 165 yards -- his ninth straight 100-yard game -- and one touchdown.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Saints are playing like a team on a mission. RB Deuce McAllister is having an amazing season. This is a tricky team that plays with a great will to win.
UP NEXT: Saints (6-6) vs. Bucs | Redskins (5-7) at Giants (4-8)

Broncos 22, Raiders 8
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Clinton Portis scored on a two-yard run with just over three minutes left to put the Broncos ahead 22-8. Portis. Rushed for 170 yards on 34 carries and scored two touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Neither team looked very sharp in this normally intense division rivalry. The Raiders seemed to take a step backwards and were plagued by penalties and turnovers.
UP NEXT: Broncos (7-5) vs. Chiefs (11-1) | Raiders (3-9) at Steelers (4-8)

Chiefs 28, Chargers 24
Recap | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Trent Green connected with Tony Gonzalez on a two-yard touchdown to put the Chiefs up 28-17 with under 6:30 left. Priest Holmes. Rushed for 162 yards and scored two touchdowns, giving him and NFL-leading 17 touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Chiefs have so many offensive weapons that they are unbelievably difficult to defend. Against the woeful Chargers they were able to dictate the tempo of the game and dominate.
UP NEXT: Chiefs (11-1) at Broncos (7-5) | Chargers (2-10) at Lions (4-8)

Seahawks 34, Browns 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Basically when it started. Seattle outgained Cleveland 463-214 and the Browns were never in the game. Matt Hasselbeck. Completed 26 of 35 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Seahawks bounced back from last week's disappointing loss to the Ravens. They came out and thoroughly dominated the Browns defensively and offensively. Next week they face the Vikings on the road in a game where the 'Hawks could finally beat their road demons.
UP NEXT: Browns (4-8) vs. Rams (9-3) | Seahawks (8-4) at Vikings (7-5)
