IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Eugene Wilson picked off a Kerry Collins pass with under one minute left in the game. The Pats then ran out the clock. Patriots defense. On a day when the offense struggled, the defense had four interceptions and returned a Tiki Barber fumble for a TD.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The New England defense came through big for this team. It created turnovers and gave the team good field position. A big-play defense can cover up a team's problems and this week the Patriots defense proved it.
UP NEXT: Giants (2-3) vs. Eagles (2-3) | Patriots (4-2) at Dolphins (4-1)

Saints 20, Bears 13
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Aaron Brooks hit Joe Horn for a six-yard TD to put the Saints up 20-6. Deuce McAllister. Pounded out 116 yards on 29 carries.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: These two teams are struggling to find their rhythm. Despite this victory, the Saints are having trouble creating mismatches with their individual speed. This win won't propel them into a playoff run and probably won't inspire them. They have to start defeating quality opponents.
UP NEXT: Bears (1-4) at Seahawks | Saints (2-4) at Falcons

Bucs 35, Redskins 13
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Derrick Brooks returned a Patrick Ramsey INT 44 yards to put the Bucs up 35-13 in the fourth quarter. Brad Johnson. Who says the Bucs are all about defense? Johnson tossed four TD passes to lead the Bucs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay played the type of game it needed to play to overcome last week's debacle. The offense came through with a strong game, while Keyshawn Johnson had a big game. This win should put them back on track.
UP NEXT: Bucs (3-2) at 49ers | Redskins (3-3) at Bills

Dolphins 24, Jaguars 10
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Sam Madison intercepted a Byron Leftwich pass and returned it 29 yards for a TD to put Miami up 24-10 with under 1:30 left in the game. Adewale Ogunleye and Jason Taylor. Ogunleye had three sacks, two pass deflections and a forced fumble, while Taylor had a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a hit that forced an INT.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Miami has found its formula for success. The Dolphins are going to rely on Ricky Williams to dominate the line of scrimmage and tire the opposing defense, while their defense rests. If they continue to play this way, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
UP NEXT: Dolphins (4-1) vs. Patriots (4-2) | Jaguars (1-5) -- bye week

Browns 13, Raiders 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Rich Gannon's pass to Jerry Rice on fourth-and-one with under 30 seconds left was ruled incomplete. William Green. Rushed for 145 yards and one TD, going over 100 yards for the second straight game.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: This was a great game for the Browns because they finally were able to get a running game going. RB William Green had 26 carries for 145 yards and ran over a suddenly weak Raiders' rush defense.
UP NEXT: Raiders (2-4) vs. Chiefs (6-0) | Browns (3-3) vs. Chargers (0-5)

Cowboys 23, Eagles 21
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Donovan McNabb's fumble was recovered by La'Roi Glover with under 30 seconds left in the game. Randal Williams. The special teamer made the play of the game, turning an attempted onside kick on the opening kickoff into a 37-yard TD return.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Neither team's running game got jumpstarted today, but the Cowboys played Bill Parcells football. They controlled the ball, managed the clock and let the defense get them good field position to win them the game.
UP NEXT: Eagles (2-3) at Giants (2-3) | Cowboys (4-1) at Lions (1-4)

Chiefs 40, Packers 34
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Trent Green hit Eddie Kennison for a 51-yard TD pass in overtime. The Chiefs got the ball back after an Ahman Green fumble. Trent Green. After struggling through five games with just 956 yds. passing and six INTs, Green torched the Packers for 400 yards and three TDs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Packers should be kicking themselves for letting this game get away. For 3½ quarters, they did a great job against the Chiefs, but turned the ball over and lost the game. Credit has to be given to the Chiefs for coming back and winning a tight game.
UP NEXT: Chiefs (6-0) at Raiders (2-4) | Packers (3-3) at Rams

Titans 38, Texans 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Andre Dyson returned a David Carr interception 51 yards to give the Titans a 38-10 lead in the fourth quarter.Steve McNair and Derrick Mason. McNair passed for 421 yards and three TDs, with all three TDs (and 177 of those yards) going to Mason.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Steve McNair is one of the top two or three quarterbacks in the league and today the Texans couldn't handle him. This game featured two excellent performances by the quarterbacks and may turn out to be the turning point for David Carr.
UP NEXT: Texans (2-3) vs. Jets | Titans (4-2) at Panthers (5-0)

Panthers 23, Colts 20
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
John Kasay's 47-yard field goal sailed through the uprights in overtime. Steve Smith. Caught six passes for 103 yards, including a 52-yard TD reception. Also set up a FG with a 42-yard punt return.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Colts needed to play smashmouth defense today and just don't have the personnel or attitude to do it. They allow other teams to set the tempo and suffer because of it. Carolina's defense is a wrecking ball unit and when teams play the Panthers, they have to change their philosophy to have any chance at victory.
UP NEXT: Panthers (5-0) vs. Titans (4-2) | Colts (5-1) -- bye week

Jets 30, Bills 3
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Vinny Testaverde hit Santana Moss for a 4-yard score in the third quarter, increasing the lead to 27-3.. Testaverde. Only completed 11 passes, but three were for touchdowns in the Jets' first win this season.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: This was the surprise game of the day. No one could have foretold that the Jets would win much less dominate the Bills. The Jets did a great job keeping pressure on Drew Bledsoe and took advantage of his mistakes. They also got the ball to Santana Moss who went out there and made some big plays for them. For the Bills, it may be time to raise the flag of worry and start worrying after this defeat.
UP NEXT: Jets (1-4) at Texans (2-3) | Bills (3-3) vs. Redskins (3-3)

Broncos 17, Steelers 14
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Jason Elam's 48-yard field goal sailed through the uprights with no time remaining. Beuerlein. Was intercepted twice, but also threw two TDs and engineered the game-winning drive.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: This was a big win for the Broncos. They won a tight game against a quality opponent with their backup quarterback and a struggling running game. The Steelers have to be worried after another lackluster offensive performance. It may be time for them to consider reintroducing Jerome Bettis to the offense.
UP NEXT: Broncos (5-1) at Vikings (5-0) | Steelers (2-4) -- bye week

Ravens 26, Cardinals 18
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Matt Stover converted a 37-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Baltimore a 26-10 lead. Chris McAlister. Had two interceptions, returning the second one 83 yards for a touchdown.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: There doesn't look like there's light at the end of the tunnel for the Cardinals. This team is steadily getting worse as the season wears on. Meanwhile, the Ravens are the exact opposite as they seem to be hitting their stride.
UP NEXT: Ravens (3-2) at Bengals (1-4) | Cardinals (1-5) -- bye week
Seahawks 20, 49ers 19
RECAP
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
