ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Bears can now say they aren't the worst team in the NFL. They have to hope they can use this game to hit their stride and possibly upset some teams down the stretch
UP NEXT: Lions (1-6) vs. Raiders (2-5) | Bears (2-5) vs. Chargers

Bengals 27, Seahawks 24

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Matt Hasselbeck was intercepted by Jeff Burris with under two minutes left, enabling the Bengals to run out the clock. Rudi Johnson. Filling in for Corey Dillon, Johnson rushed for 101 yards and one TD on 27 carries.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Seahawks don't have a championship mentality and it showed today. Championship teams are able to play in any conditions and win and they don't seem to have the mindset to do that yet.
UP NEXT: Seahawks (5-2) vs. Steelers (2-5) | Bengals (3-4) at Cardinals (2-5)

Giants 29, Vikings 17

ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Vikings ran into a team that wanted this game more than they did. The Vikings came into the game on fire and looked unstoppable on offense, but they cooled down when it counted.
UP NEXT: Giants (3-4) at Jets (2-5) | Vikings (6-1) vs. Packers (3-4)

IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Ty Law picked off a Kelly Holcomb pass with just over one minute to play. The Patriots took over and ran out the clock. Mike Vrabel. Defense carried the Patriots and it was Vrabel who led the way with three sacks.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Patriots are moving along and beating whoever is on their schedule. They're doing a great job incorporating the deep ball into their offense and are on pace for a run to the division title.
UP NEXT: Browns (3-5) -- bye week | Patriots (6-2) at Broncos (5-3)

Panthers 23, Saints 20 OT
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
John Kasay's 31-yard field goal sailed through the uprights in overtime. Stephen Davis. The MVP candidate was the man for the Panthers, rushing for 178 yards and two TDs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: What a great job by the Panthers to bounce back from last week's tough loss. This team turned a corner with this victory. They very easily could've succumbed as they did last season when they hit a bad spot. This was a great victory for the Panthers.
UP NEXT: Panthers (6-1) at Texans (2-5) | Saints (3-5) at Bucs (4-3)

Rams 33, Steelers 21
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Aeneas Williams picked of a Tommy Maddox pass with just over three minutes left in the game and the Rams leading by 12. Arlen Harris. A nod to Torry Holt's great day, but we'll go with Harris, who rushed for three TDs filling in for Marshall Faulk and Lamar Gordon.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Steelers had a great plan to get Jerome Bettis involved, but he didn't play well. When combined with another poor performance by Tommy Maddox, this team walked away with another loss.
UP NEXT: Rams (5-2) at 49ers (3-5) | Steelers (2-5) at Seahawks (5-2)

Bucs 16, Cowboys 0
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
The Bucs went up 16-0 in the third quarter on a 50-yard field goal by Martin Gramatica. The Cowboys weren't going to score 16 points. Bucs defense. One week after getting run over by the 49ers, the Bucs' D dominated the Cowboys.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: With all the talking going on by the players it's good to know they can back it up on the field. They played a great defensive game and got their running game going.
UP NEXT: Cowboys (5-2) vs. Redskins (3-4) | Bucs (4-3) vs. Saints (3-5)

Titans 30, Jaguars 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Eddie George scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter to put the Titans up 27-10. That was more than enough. George. The veteran back showed he still has something left, rushing for 88 yards and two TDs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Titans are starting to gel as a team and if Eddie George can continue to be effective, they'll be a formidable opponent.
UP NEXT: Titans (6-2) -- bye week | Jaguars (1-6) at Ravens (4-3)

Ravens 26, Broncos 6
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Jamal Lewis busted loose for a 28-yard TD run to put the Ravens up 26-6 in the fourth quarter. Lewis and Lewis. On offense it was Jamal (134 yards and one TD) and on defense it was Ray (10 tackles and one INT).
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: Turnovers played a big part in this game. The Broncos made too many mistakes and the Ravens did a great job of capitalizing on them.
UP NEXT: Broncos (5-3) vs. Patriots (6-2) | Ravens (4-3) vs. Jaguars (1-6)

Eagles 24, Jets 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Chad Pennington's desperation pass from Philadelphia's 42 fell incomplete as time expired. Correll Buckhalter. In Philly's game of musical chairs at RB, it was Buckhalter who carried the load Sunday, rushing for 100 yards and two TDs.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: I was surprised that coach Andy Reid decided to start McNabb this week. I expected him to get a week of rest, but he came out and played well. He still isn't as accurate as he should be, but he didn't lose this team the game.
UP NEXT: Jets (2-5) at vs. Giants (3-4) | Eagles (4-3) at Falcons (1-6)

Colts 30, Texans 21
RECAP | BOX SCORE
IT WAS OVER WHEN... GAME BALL GOES TO...
Mike Vanderjagt booted a 23-yard field goal with just over five minutes left to put the Colts up by two scores (nine points). Peyton Manning. Manning completed 22 of 30 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: This was a close game that was decided by Reggie Wayne's great play. Wayne has come on strong and is giving Peyton Manning another threat.
UP NEXT: Colts (6-1) at Dolphins (4-2) | Texans (2-5) vs. Panthers (6-1)

Cardinals 16, 49ers 13 OT
RECAP | BOX SCORE

Tim Duncan, who missed three field goals earlier in the game, booted a 35-yard field goal to win the game for the Cardinals. Marcel Shipp. Rushed for 165 yards on 35 carries to pace the Cardinals on offense.
ERIC ALLEN'S ANALYSIS: The Cardinals occasionally play better than their record and this was one of those times. On the other side of the ball, the 49ers aren't very consistent and don't seem to know how to close games out.
UP NEXT: 49ers (3-5) vs. Rams (5-2) | Cardinals (2-5) vs. Bengals (3-4)
