Brown was a touchdown machine against the Patriots, rushing for a Dolphins-record four TDs, including a 62-yarder, and threw for another in Miami's 38-13 victory. Brown finished with 113 yards on 17 carries as Miami put up 461 total yards on New England's defense.
Facing a Chiefs defense that was determined to stop the run, Turner led the Falcons to a runaway victory. Turner rushed for 104 yards -- his second 100-yard performance in three games this year -- and had scoring runs of 4, 1 and 2 yards as Atlanta routed Kansas City 38-14.
Gore rushed for a 130 yards and a TD on 27 carries to power the 49ers to a 31-13 victory over the reeling Lions. Gore scored from 4 yards out early in the second quarter after setting up San Francisco's first TD (an Isaac Bruce TD catch) with a 33-yard run late in the first quarter.
Griese threw three interceptions Sunday, but he was on the mark when it mattered most. Griese's 38-yard pass to Antonio Bryant set up Matt Bryant's game-winning, 21-yard field goal as the Bucs rallied to beat the Bears 27-24 in overtime. Griese threw a franchise-record 67 passes, completing 38 for 407 yards with two touchdowns.
The Saints lost their second straight game Sunday, but Brees couldn't have played much better. Brees was 39-of-48 for 421 yards and a TD in New Orleans' 34-32 loss at Denver. The Saints had 502 yards of total offense.
After being torched for 41 points by the Cowboys on Monday night, the Eagles' defense took out its frustration on Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. The Eagles sacked Big Ben eight times (they also sacked Byron Leftwich once), including six times in the first half, in a 15-6 victory. The Eagles limited Roethlisberger to 131 yards passing and allowed only 33 rushing yards.
Thrust into a starting role because of injuries, Thigpen struggled mightily against the Falcons. The second-year quarterback completed only 14 of 36 passes for 128 yards and had three interceptions in the Chiefs' 38-14 loss in Atlanta.
After a storybook 2007 season, Anderson might be losing his grip on the Browns' starting QB job. In Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Ravens, Anderson completed only 14 of 27 passes for 125 yards and had three interceptions. Anderson has only two TD passes in three games and has yet to eclipse the 200-yard mark this year.
Efficient and productive in the Panthers' first two games, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart found little daylight Sunday. The duo combined for only 42 yards on 17 carries in Carolina's 20-10 loss in Minnesota.
The Rams' downward spiral continued in Week 3. The Rams fell to 0-3 after a 37-13 loss to the Seahawks. It was the 16th loss in the past 19 games for St. Louis, which has been outscored 116-29 this season.
