News: Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said Sweed has "earned the right to get back out on the field," the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Spin: "He's had three great weeks of practice. I would have no qualms putting him in the ballgame," Arians stated. He also added Sweed has to "bide his time," so don't expect him to get a bunch of targets suddenly. Mike Wallace leads the league in receiving yards by a rookie, making it highly unlikely the team will work Sweed extensively back into the offense at the expense of Wallace. That being said, it's good to note that Sweed has not just mailed it in and is working on improving his game. |

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (11 hours ago)
Why don't the coaches give Limas Sweed another try? What I have seen lately is that Hines Ward seems slowed and this has let him be covered by one person leaving opposing defenses more able to double team Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace.
Centre Daily Times (2 days ago)
Limas Sweed, I feel your pain. Sweed, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver benched weeks ago for dropping a pass - OK, a bunch of passes - has my sympathies.
Associated Press (56 days ago)Steelers receiver Limas Sweed may have dropped his way onto the bench.
ESPN.com (88 days ago)Stan and Guy and Chris preview Steelers/Bills with Mark Kelso & Matt Williamson, and get a recruiting visit from PSU's Tom Bradley.
