Player News (last updated: November 16, 2009)
News: Rodgers completed 25 of 36 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. He also ran for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Spin: The Cowboys generated a lot of pressure as expected, but the Packers largely negated the rush with a heavy dose of three-step drops and short throws. It helped Rodgers stay upright, but it didn't do much for his fantasy numbers in a game that was 3-0 entering the fourth quarter. It was just the second time all year Rodgers was held under 245 yards passing.

Rodgers takes a big step for the Packers

St. Louis Post-Dispatch (12 hours ago)
Let's just get this out of the way: Aaron Rodgers has done a lot more right than wrong in his 25 games as starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers.

49ers didn't take time to bring Smith along

The Modesto Bee (13 hours ago)
If there are two schools of thought about how a rookie quarterback should be brought up in the NFL, Alex Smith would be Exhibit A and Aaron Rodgers would be Exhibit B. The 49ers' approach with Smith was akin to tossing him into the deep end of the pool and seeing if he could swim.
