Source: Boldin not expected to play
The Cardinals, however, have not fully abandoned hopes that Boldin will be available to play, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Thursday.
The feeling is that, if the Cardinals can beat the Saints in New Orleans, Boldin would be ready to play the NFC Championship Game.
Boldin has been nursing knee and ankle injuries, but his knee is more of an issue than the ankle, and it's the main reason he missed last Sunday's victory against the Packers and the main reason he is likely to sit out Saturday against the Saints.
Boldin and inside linebacker Gerald Hayes did not practice Thursday. Hayes, who suffered a right ankle injury on the first play of the Green Bay game but played with it the rest of the way, is not expected to play Saturday either.
